What The Role Is

You play an important role in assessing and enhancing the Operations & Support (O&S) management, reliability and availability of the various MHA Ops Systems (including but not limited to software, hardware, systems, services).

What You Will Be Working On

  • Evaluate budget papers submitted by project teams to ensure that the maintenance and operation support requirements of the new projects are adequately catered for and aligned with the existing O&S processes, including allocating sufficient resources.
  • Evaluate and strengthen the O&S processes and standards so as to enhance the maintenance of Ops Systems across MHA throughout their life cycle, including obsolescence management, system refresh, and mid-life upgrade.
  • Work with project teams in flagship programmes to incorporate O&S requirements and specifications as well as reviewing the maintenance design and strategy.
  • Manage and monitor existing system/service contracts to support MHA ops, including overseeing their day-to-day issues.
  • Manage vendors to ensure contractual requirements and Service Level Agreement (SLA) are met, and to take appropriate corrective actions as required.
  • Put up contract variation when required, including submitting budget papers and technical specifications for approval.
  • Manage and implement ICT security measures as required under government policies.
  • Manage any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What We Are Looking For

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years or more of relevant work experience, preferably with O&S experience in ICT ops systems.
  • Experience in maintenance planning, analysis & support; fault & resolution management; and system performance management.
  • Ability to analyse O&S data for improving or introducing predictive mode to maintain ops systems will have an added advantage.
  • Experience in using Technologies for O&S to enhance ops systems, such as data analytics, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, will have an added advantage.
  • Experience in project management, contract establishment & management, vendor management and incident management will have an added advantage.
  • Possess a good grasp of IT industry best practices and processes, while keeping abreast of advances in Technology and best practices.
  • Possess excellent planning and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, dedicated, competent as well as possess the ability to work independently and drive to successfully complete tasks.
  • Possess good communications (both oral and written), presentation, reasoning ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and independently.

All new appointees will be appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance.
