Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to the team responsible for applying mathematical models, advanced tools or techniques (such as Python, R, and C++), and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results. Your efforts will enable the team to analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE The Lead Financial Engineer - Single Family role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of advanced analytical projects, including usage of predictive modeling Apply advanced skill, knowledge, and/or experience while leading teams in translating complex mathematical, business, and financial modeling logic into software code, as well as design and execute modeling application systems via distributed computing both on premise and on external cloud to achieve efficiency, scalability, and modularity. Develop approach to processing or analyzing large amounts of data efficiently using advanced financial engineering tools and techniques. Execute models and/or interpret model results. Translate the results from the analysis or models for the customer into understandable conclusions. Lead the design and execution of test cases for modeling and analytical software applications to ensure they meet business needs and model requirements. Create and maintain required Model Management Life Cycle (MMLC) document for the implemented model including solution specification, testing plan and testing result, and impact analysis. Remediate governance and regulatory findings and issues related to the model. Lead the evaluation of emerging technologies and industry best practices of model and analytical system implementation. Communicates proactively and professionally while clearly and transparently engaging with model teams, business and technology partners, reviewers, peers, and leadership through effective written and verbal communication THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Minimum Required Experiences: 4 years of experience Experience operating in AWS‑based data science environments, such as Amazon SageMaker or equivalent, including notebooks, model experimentation, and secure access patterns. Hands‑on analytics and modeling experience using Python and/or R for data preparation, feature engineering, model development, and evaluation in enterprise datasets. Strong analytical problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous business or risk problems into structured analytical approaches and clearly explain results to technical and non‑technical stakeholders Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other STEM disciplines, with working knowledge of Finance and Business Desired Experiences: Advanced degree or certifications in a quantitative or technical field preferred Practical experience working with GenAI or LLM‑enabled solutions within a governed enterprise environment.
