Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process optimization and efficiency initiatives within their manufacturing operations. This critical role will involve the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes, workflow improvements, and layout optimizations to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, and proven leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for leading a team of industrial engineers, mentoring junior staff, and driving continuous improvement projects across multiple production lines. Key responsibilities include conducting detailed process analyses, identifying bottlenecks, implementing data-driven solutions, and ensuring the effective utilization of resources. This position is based at our Phoenix, Arizona, US facility, requiring your presence on-site to effectively manage and collaborate with operational teams. You will work closely with production, quality assurance, and supply chain management to achieve operational excellence. A strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC), simulation software, and lean tools is essential. The ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization is crucial. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Conduct detailed process analysis, including value stream mapping and waste reduction. Develop and optimize production workflows, plant layouts, and material handling systems. Supervise and mentor a team of industrial engineers. Utilize statistical tools and techniques for process analysis and control. Collaborate with operations and other departments to achieve efficiency goals. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing performance. Develop and maintain process documentation, standards, and training materials. Identify and implement best practices in industrial engineering and manufacturing. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on manufacturing operations. Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams. Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred). Proficiency in process simulation, CAD, and statistical analysis software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work effectively on-site and collaborate with production teams. The primary work location for this role is expected to be within the Phoenix, Arizona, US region.
