Our client, a major player in the advanced manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to drive process optimization initiatives in Los Angeles, California, US . This vital role focuses on enhancing efficiency, productivity, and quality across manufacturing operations through the application of industrial engineering principles and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, supply chain optimization, and facility layout design. This hybrid role requires a blend of on-site analysis and data-driven remote planning to develop and implement impactful operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of improved manufacturing processes and systems. Analyze existing production workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Apply lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to streamline operations and reduce waste. Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to drive data-driven process improvements and achieve measurable results. Develop and optimize facility layouts and material flow to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Conduct time and motion studies to improve worker productivity and establish standard operating procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and R&D, to implement process changes. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance and track progress. Train and mentor junior industrial engineers and operational staff on process improvement techniques. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in industrial engineering. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on manufacturing process improvement. Proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data. Proficiency in CAD software for facility layout and process design. Excellent understanding of supply chain management, operations research, and production planning. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with simulation software for process modeling is desirable. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site observation and remote analysis. Must be eligible to work in the US and reside within a commutable distance to our Los Angeles, California, US facility.
