Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic industrial engineering initiatives to optimize operational performance. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of industrial engineers, fostering their professional growth and performance. Oversee the design and improvement of production systems, workflows, layouts, and supply chain processes. Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to identify waste, improve throughput, and reduce costs. Conduct in-depth data analysis, performance benchmarking, and feasibility studies to support decision-making. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement. Implement advanced simulation and modeling techniques to test and validate process changes. Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to align engineering strategies with business objectives. Champion and drive change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in industrial engineering and operations management.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or team lead role. Proven track record of successfully implementing major process improvements and achieving measurable business results. Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), Theory of Constraints, and other optimization methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel, SQL). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in supply chain optimization, facility layout design, and workforce planning. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment. This is a hybrid position, requiring presence in the Seattle office for key meetings, team collaboration, and strategic planning sessions, with flexibility for remote work arrangements.
