Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Industrial Maintenance Engineer to join their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Atlanta, Georgia, US . This critical role will oversee the maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all production machinery and plant infrastructure. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing proactive maintenance strategies, managing a team of maintenance technicians, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize operational performance.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Lead, train, and mentor a team of skilled maintenance technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on production machinery. Oversee the maintenance budget, including parts inventory, labor costs, and capital expenditure planning. Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental policies, and company standards. Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and equipment. Implement new technologies and methodologies to enhance maintenance effectiveness and reduce downtime. Conduct regular safety audits and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven experience with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment, including CNC machines, robotics, and automated systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics. Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus. Commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
