Job Description

A prominent manufacturing firm is looking for a highly skilled Lead Industrial Process Engineer to oversee and optimize production processes at their facility in New York City, New York, US . This critical role will be responsible for enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and implementing innovative manufacturing solutions. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and project management expertise to drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in industrial engineering, with deep knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and advanced process simulation tools. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing new production layouts, developing standard operating procedures, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and systems. Analyzing existing workflows to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction. Developing and executing project plans for process upgrades and new product introductions. Mentoring and managing a team of junior engineers and technical staff. Implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to drive operational excellence. Collaborating with R&D, production, and quality assurance departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes. Developing and maintaining detailed documentation for all manufacturing processes, including SOPs and control plans. Staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies in industrial engineering. Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Analyzing production data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions. We require a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, process design, and manufacturing operations is essential. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively manage teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Expertise in process modeling software (e.g., Arena, Simul8), statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab), and CAD software is highly desirable. The ability to think strategically and implement practical solutions is paramount. This is an on-site position requiring full dedication to our bustling New York City operations.
