Responsibilities:
Analyze and optimize existing industrial processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Lead the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and systems. Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and manage project plans for process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, R&D, and quality assurance. Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and bottleneck identification. Specify and select manufacturing equipment and technologies. Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on process improvements. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. Evaluate and implement automation solutions to enhance productivity. Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on process performance. Contribute to the overall strategic planning for manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial process engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. Proven experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus), and process optimization techniques. Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, automation, and control systems. Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively. Experience in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC). Familiarity with ERP and MES systems. Must be able to work on-site in Denver, Colorado.
