Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Industrial Process Engineer to drive operational excellence and innovation in their facility located in Austin, Texas . This senior role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex industrial processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. You will lead a team of engineers, manage process improvement projects, and collaborate with production, R&D, and quality assurance departments. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of new industrial processes and manufacturing systems. Optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Conduct process analysis, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions for continuous improvement. Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence. Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions. Oversee process simulation, modeling, and validation to ensure optimal performance. Manage process-related projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior industrial engineers and technicians. Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes. Analyze production data to identify trends, measure performance, and recommend improvements. Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems. Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions. Stay current with advancements in industrial engineering technologies and best practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on process design and optimization. Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex process improvement projects. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus), and statistical process control (SPC). Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and CAD tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and quality systems. Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership abilities. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage cross-functional relationships. Experience with automation and robotics integration is desirable.
