Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation systems and solutions. Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements. Specify, procure, and commission new automated equipment, including robotics, PLCs, and HMIs. Develop and execute validation plans for automated systems. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the manufacturing engineering team. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automated machinery and control systems. Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure successful integration of automation. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including P&IDs, electrical schematics, and standard operating procedures. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing automation. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards in automated environments. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong focus on automation. Proven expertise in robotics (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB), PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), and HMIs. Strong understanding of control systems, sensor technology, and machine vision. Experience with project management methodologies and tools. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
