The Role

Join as our mechanical lead to own the entire design and manufacturing process and bring our products to life. This is lean hardware execution at scale and speed—managing top tier ODMs, overseeing consults, and ensuring our devices meet the highest quality standards at scale.

What You'll Do

• Own the entire mechanical design execution from prototypes to mass production
• Work with industrial design agency to align on premium products designed for efficient manufacturing
• Manage ME teams at ODM partners and consultants
• Drive all mechanical aspects of manufacturing execution
• Ensure products meet the highest CMF standards
• Drive DFM and cost optimization
• Reports to the VP of Hardware

Requirements

• 10+ years mechanical engineering in premium consumer products
• Proven track record managing ODMs and overseas manufacturing
• Strong technical knowledge of injection molded plastics
• Experience in some of the following areas: displays, cameras, speakers, microphones, thermal management, fabrics, wall mounting
• Experience overseeing external consultancies and design agencies
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM
• Excellent project management and cross-functional coordination skills

Location and Travel

• Primarily in-office in Redwood City
• 15% international travel
