Hatch is seeking a Lead Process Engineer with Downstream experience to join our growing office in Houston, TX. This is an opportunity for a high-energy, self-managed individual to work on diverse projects and technologies for local and global clients. This is a senior leadership position, and the candidate is expected to have strong process experience, ideally having worked at an engineering and technology consulting firm.
The Lead Process Engineer will be part of an engineering team providing engineering services covering all project stages including pre-feasibility, concept, FEED and some detailed engineering for both minor and major projects. The work is varied and stimulating, covering greenfield developments, brownfield upgrades and operations support, onshore and offshore. The scope of work will be both in the oil & gas sector as well as the growing energy transition sector.
The Lead Process Engineer will oversee and guide the development of process engineering deliverables ensuring they meet the project’s scope, are delivered on schedule and budget, and meet Hatch’s quality standards. The role requires the engineer to develop solutions in all areas of the process plant across various systems, unit operations and process equipment. In addition, the Lead Process Engineer will liaise with other disciplines to ensure the process intent of the plant is maintained throughout the design life.
