Our client, a global leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in **Los Angeles, California, US**. This role is instrumental in optimizing and improving our manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for analyzing existing production lines, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement, and designing and implementing new processes and technologies. Key duties include leading cross-functional teams in process improvement projects, developing process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. You will also collaborate with R&D and engineering departments to support new product introductions and ensure manufacturability. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC). Experience with process simulation software and CAD tools is highly desirable. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion is essential.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a proven track record in manufacturing environments, is required. Demonstrated experience in leading process improvement initiatives and managing engineering projects is mandatory. Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, materials, and production methodologies is essential. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are necessary to effectively lead teams and collaborate across departments.
