Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance. Oversee all aspects of the production process, ensuring that manufacturing targets for volume, quality, and cost are met. Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Identify and address production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and quality issues, implementing effective solutions. Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment. Collaborate with the R&D and design teams to ensure smooth production ramp-up of new products. Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure optimal performance of machinery. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production operations. Manage production budgets and control operational costs effectively. Oversee the implementation of new technologies and automation initiatives. Conduct root cause analysis for production deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Train production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures. Maintain accurate production records and generate comprehensive reports for management. Contribute to strategic planning for future production capabilities and expansions. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Proven experience in leading and managing production teams in a manufacturing setting. In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems (e.g., ISO 9001), and supply chain management. Experience with automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and MS Office Suite. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding production schedules. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
