Job Description

Our client, a prestigious international investment bank, is seeking an exceptional Lead Quantitative Analyst to spearhead their financial modeling and risk management initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced, analytically challenging environment. You will be instrumental in developing sophisticated pricing models, risk assessment tools, and algorithmic trading strategies that drive profitability and mitigate risk for the firm. The successful candidate will demonstrate a profound understanding of financial markets, advanced statistical methods, and a proven track record of delivering impactful quantitative solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to mentor junior analysts.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and validate complex quantitative models for pricing derivatives, assessing market risk, and credit risk. Design and refine algorithmic trading strategies in collaboration with portfolio managers and traders. Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of market data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Build and maintain robust risk management frameworks and stress testing methodologies. Work closely with front-office and back-office teams to ensure the accurate and efficient implementation of quantitative models. Mentor and guide a team of junior quantitative analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Communicate complex quantitative findings and recommendations clearly to senior management and business stakeholders. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and their impact on quantitative modeling and risk management. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the firm's quantitative technology infrastructure. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications:

Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 7 years of experience in quantitative finance, with a significant portion in a lead or senior role. Expertise in financial derivatives pricing, fixed income, equities, and credit risk modeling. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in quantitative finance, such as Python, C++, or R. Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, time series analysis, machine learning techniques, and numerical methods. Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of quantitative analysts. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Deep understanding of financial markets and trading operations. Experience with large datasets and high-performance computing is a plus. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like Basel III and Dodd-Frank is beneficial.
