Our client, a prestigious global investment bank, is actively seeking a highly accomplished Lead Quantitative Analyst (Quant) to join their cutting-edge trading strategies division in Houston, Texas, US . This is a critical role requiring deep expertise in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and programming to develop and implement sophisticated trading algorithms and risk management systems. The successful candidate will lead a team of talented quants, driving innovation and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced market environment. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing complex mathematical models for pricing, hedging, and risk management of financial derivatives, developing and optimizing trading algorithms for various asset classes, conducting rigorous backtesting and performance analysis of trading strategies, collaborating closely with portfolio managers and traders to understand market needs and translate them into quantitative solutions, managing and mentoring a team of quantitative analysts, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of quantitative systems, staying current with market developments, regulatory changes, and academic research in quantitative finance, and documenting models, methodologies, and code. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering. A minimum of 7 years of experience in quantitative finance, with a strong track record of developing and deploying successful trading models, is required. Expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++, or R, and experience with financial libraries and databases are essential. Strong knowledge of financial markets, derivatives, and risk management principles is mandatory. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial.
