As part of our continued expansion in Asia, we are building out our Hong Kong presence and are seeking an experienced recruiter to play a key role in this growth.
The Role
This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced recruiter to take ownership of our quantitative research vertical in Hong Kong. You will focus on placing top-tier quantitative researchers into hedge funds and trading firms, while helping to build and scale our regional presence leveraging Sartre Group’s established global client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for quantitative research roles across hedge funds and proprietary trading firms
- Build and manage senior relationships with portfolio managers, hiring managers, and key stakeholders
- Leverage Sartre Group’s global client network to expand and grow the Hong Kong desk
- Identify, engage, and attract top quantitative talent (e.g. PhDs, researchers, quants) on a global scale
- Act as a market specialist within systematic trading and quantitative research
- Contribute to the strategic growth and direction of the Asia business
- Consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets
Requirements
- Proven experience recruiting within quantitative finance, front-office finance, or a closely related niche
- Strong track record of billings in a competitive, high-performance environment
- Ability to engage credibly with highly technical candidates and senior stakeholders
- Strong commercial mindset with the drive to build and grow a market
- Interest in or understanding of quantitative research and systematic trading
- Fluent in English; Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous
