Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Robotics Engineer to join their fully remote, cutting-edge engineering team. Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced robotic systems and automation solutions. Oversee the integration of robotics with existing manufacturing processes and equipment. Develop and optimize control algorithms, motion planning, and pathfinding for robotic manipulators. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and production specialists, to ensure seamless system integration and performance. Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior robotics engineers. Stay current with emerging robotics technologies, AI, and machine learning applications in automation. Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables for robotic engineering initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to robotic systems. Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices.
Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Extensive experience in robotics engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in robotics, such as C++, Python, ROS (Robot Operating System). Strong understanding of control systems theory, kinematics, dynamics, and sensor fusion. Experience with industrial robots (e.g., KUKA, Fanuc, ABB) and automation software. Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test complex robotic systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment. Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, CoppeliaSim) is a plus.
