Position Summary:

Responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost in a vertically integrated manufacturing environment (CNC machining, manual machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding & manual assembly). This position supports new product introduction, product data management, continuous improvement, fixture design, data analysis and cross-functional team projects.

Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 (in office, no remote work, flexible start time)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Creates and revises CNC programs (Haas VF-4 & UMC-750) using Autodesk Fusion.
  • Design fixtures and other equipment for the production process using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Utilize additive manufacturing to produce fixtures and other equipment.
  • Maintain and revise production routers and other production documents.
  • Analyze process data to identify improvements.
  • Analyze production KPI’s and manufacturing cost data.
  • Create production work instructions.
  • Create test procedures.
  • Lead APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) projects.
  • Submits ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) as necessary.
  • Provide technical support to shop floor employees.
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects

Competencies:

  • Able to work with minimal supervision and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
  • Experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to maintain production routers and BOM's.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CAD and design principles of additive manufacturing.
  • Haas VF-4 setup and operating experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Raise 3D E2 or Bambu Labs X1E 3D printing or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Experience with RevoPoint Miraco Scanner or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Experience maintaining production route documents is a plus.
  • Lean manufacturing training is a plus.
  • Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion is a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Access and Power BI are plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient with common hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma
