About Our Client

The client is a specialized manufacturer serving the consumer, medical, and construction markets. With about 150 employees and a recently upgraded facility, they aim to double in size over the next five years, with this Lean Manufacturing Engineer playing a key role in elevating production capabilities and supporting their continued market leadership.

Job Description

  • Analyze and enhance manufacturing processes related to assembly, testing, packaging, and logistics.
  • Collaborate with teams at all levels to challenge existing practices and drive meaningful improvements.
  • Utilize lean tools such as 5S, KPIs, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Pareto analysis to implement process enhancements.
  • Plan and design layouts for optimal space utilization, workflow, and workforce efficiency.
  • Standardize processes and implement best practices along with performance metrics.
  • Develop training materials for technical processes, including robotics and manual machine interfaces.
  • Mentor and train employees on new processes and lean methodologies.

The Successful Applicant

  • A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in lean engineering within a manufacturing environment; Belt certification in lean manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills to aggregate, interpret, and present data effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems and database management.

  • Base salary: $90,000-$110,000 depending on experience
