Sunflower Casitas LLC is seeking a Licensed Mechanical Plumbing Engineer (MPE) in Arizona to support our growing ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) design team in Phoenix.

This role is ideal for a licensed engineer with AutoCAD experience who can work efficiently, produce accurate plans, and collaborate closely with architects on residential and ADU projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for ADU projects in Arizona
• Produce and revise plans using AutoCAD
• Ensure compliance with Arizona building codes and MEP standards
• Collaborate with architects and design team on ADU layouts
• Review plans for accuracy, efficiency, and code compliance
• Assist with architectural coordination and design as needed

Requirements (Must Meet)

• Licensed Mechanical Plumbing Engineer (MPE) – State of Arizona REQUIRED
• Minimum 5+ years of experience (ADU or residential preferred)
• Strong AutoCAD experience
• Experience with Arizona codes, permitting, and residential construction
• Ability to work fast, accurately, and independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience

• ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) design experience
• Residential MEP engineering background
• Interest in cross-training with architectural design
