Linux System Engineer

Systems Engineer (HPC) – Quantitative Trading - Hong Kong/Singapore

My client is looking for a Systems Engineer to join their infrastructure team, supporting a high-performance research and trading environment.

The Role

Design, operate, and optimize HPC compute and storage infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms. Maintain large-scale Linux systems and manage batch and containerized workloads (CPU and GPU). Improve observability, automation, and cluster efficiency. Build internal tooling and collaborate across teams to troubleshoot performance-critical systems.

Key Requirements

• 1–5 years’ experience in Linux systems, DevOps, HPC, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong understanding of Linux internals (scheduling, memory, filesystems, networking)
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Salt)
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash scripting
• Experience with containers (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP)
