What you get to do:

  • In close collaboration with LOA Specialists, assist with preparation of LOA documents, resources, materials to facilitate LOA administration internally and externally
  • Assists with researching and documenting federal/state/local legislative changes related to LOA
  • Proofread, type, and manage documents, resources, and materials ensuring accurate and up-to-date information and proper filing & organization in document management system (DMS)
  • Assist with management of LOA case queue to ensure cases are assigned/routed appropriately and timely
  • Assists with researching internal and external LOA-related issues to help LOA Specialist bring to timely resolution
  • Facilitates training of internal and external stakeholders on processes and leave law matters through organizing, scheduling, and preparing materials.
  • Assist with preparation of LOA reports
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Have 1-2 years’ experience of LOA exposure and/or LOA claims processing
  • 5+ years of administration or other HR experience 
  • General working knowledge of federal, state, and local leave requirements and wage replacement programs across multiple jurisdictions; including, but not limited to CA, DC, HI, MA, NJ, NY, RI, WA
  • General working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations with respect to Department of Labor laws as it relates to FMLA, ADA, HIPAA and Workers Compensation
  • Proven ability to preserve confidentiality and handle sensitive data
  • Proven customer service skills to effectively communicate with myriad internal and external stakeholders to resolve problems, satisfy expectations, build trust, and exemplify their commitment to providing quality products & services 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software
  • Bachelor's Degree required
