Job Description

Role Summary

The Technology M&A Program Manager will serve as the end-to-end delivery lead for technology integration and separation activities supporting a major acquisition initiative.

This role owns orchestration across multiple technology workstreams, ensuring all commitments are clearly defined, sequenced, governed, and delivered successfully across Day 1 readiness and Post-Close execution phases.

The Program Manager will act as the single point of coordination between business leadership, IT teams, Integration Management Office (IMO), and external partners while driving disciplined execution, risk management, and executive transparency.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Delivery

  • Own the integrated technology acquisition program plan including scope, milestones, dependencies, and critical path.
  • Drive Day 1 and Post-Close technology readiness across platforms and regions.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all committed technology outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain integrated master schedules across all workstreams.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Lead orchestration across enterprise technology domains:

  • ERP (SAP ECC / S/4HANA)
  • Commercial, Supply Chain, R&D, HR, Finance, Legal systems
  • Data & Analytics (Snowflake, Data Lake, Reporting platforms)
  • Integrations & EDI
  • Infrastructure & End User Computing
  • Cybersecurity, Identity & Access Management
  • Application separation, TSA execution, and system disposition

Act as the primary integration point between:

  • Business leadership
  • IT organizations
  • IMO teams
  • Finance & Legal
  • Security teams
  • External vendors and system integrators

Governance, Risk & Issue Management

  • Establish program governance structures and decision forums.
  • Identify risks, resource gaps, sequencing conflicts, and tradeoffs.
  • Drive issue resolution and executive escalation when required.
  • Track Technology Service Agreements (TSAs), dependencies, and exit criteria.

Executive Communication & Transparency

  • Deliver concise executive-level status reporting.
  • Communicate progress, risks, mitigation strategies, and decisions needed.
  • Translate complex technical delivery into business outcomes.
  • Prepare steering committee and leadership readouts.

Change & Transition Management

  • Coordinate technology cutovers and transition plans.
  • Support stabilization activities following go-live.
  • Ensure operational handoff to Run-the-Business teams.
  • Capture lessons learned for future M&A programs.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Program or Portfolio Management experience.
  • Proven leadership of Technology M&A, integrations, or divestitures.
  • Strong enterprise technology landscape knowledge:
  • ERP
  • Data platforms
  • Integrations
  • Infrastructure
  • Experience managing multiple parallel workstreams under tight timelines.
  • Excellent executive stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with system integrators and third-party vendors.
  • Strong risk management, dependency tracking, and decision facilitation expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TSA management and Day 1/Post-Close planning.
  • Background in Data & Analytics or Digital Transformation programs.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience operating within an IMO or Enterprise PMO model.

  • Technology Day 1 readiness achieved without business disruption.
  • Delivery of committed milestones on or ahead of schedule.
  • Proactive risk management with no late surprises.
  • High executive confidence in technology execution.
  • Smooth transition to steady-state operations post acquisition.
