About Global Payment

The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.

The Data Intelligence team is responsible for designing & building data intelligence architecture, including data warehouses, data service, data platform products, to support business. This team is also responsible for data analysis, algorithm development & optimization, and building data solutions for growth, risk control, and compliance to drive business through data-driven & algorithm-driven.

• *Responsibilities**:

• Design and develop machine learning algorithms to combat financial compliance risks and identify potential compliance issues, uncover potential emerging risks.
• Focus on live streaming, e-commerce, and other business scenarios, exploring new paradigms for financial security in internet-based contexts.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, Generative AI, LLM, and VLM. Improve compliance operation review efficiency
• Work with datasets for image processing, text analysis, and multimodal model training.
• *Qualifications**:
• *Minimum Qualifications**:

• Final year Ph.D or recent Ph.D graduates in Computer Science, engineering or quantitative field.
• Experienced in AI modeling, familiar with at least one framework of TensorFlow / PyTorch / MXNet;
• Has good learning and communication skills, a strong sense of curiosity and responsibility, a spirit of exploration, and self-motivation.
• *Preferred Qualifications**:

• Published relevant papers in high-level international conferences and academic journals (including but not limited to CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NIPS, ICML, AAAI, TPAMI, IJCV, etc.), or won awards in high-level competitions
• Relevant internship experience with hands on exposure to the tech stack
• Interested in payment industry
