Job Description

The ML Scientist III in Wayfair's Applied Research organization independently designs and implements sophisticated machine learning algorithms that empower systems to learn from data and generate predictions or decisions. This role involves advancing model development, meticulously fine-tuning algorithms, and deploying robust, scalable machine learning solutions to foster innovation and tackle intricate challenges across the company. You will apply a deep understanding of machine learning, experimental methodologies, advanced statistical analysis, optimization techniques, and probabilistic modeling. You will also mentor and share your knowledge with junior team members, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and business peers, to integrate these insights into company-wide decision-making processes and systems. You will be at the forefront of applying ML and artificial intelligence at Wayfair to solve complex, real-world business problems and potentially guide the work of others.
