What will you do?
- Build and maintain complex financial models, such as three-statement models, DCF, LBO, and project finance models from scratch for infrastructure and IDC (Internet Data Center) investments
- Calculate cost-revenue structures, operating expense profiles, debt sizing, and project-level / equity-level IRRs for capital-intensive projects
- Support end-to-end deal execution, including due diligence, term sheet analysis, SPA review, investment committee memo preparation, and post-investment performance monitoring
- Exercise critical judgment in determining what requires calculation, why a particular deal structure is viable or not, and how to stress-test assumptions to uncover key risk factors
- Leverage AI tools to streamline repetitive tasks, accelerate model construction, generate initial drafts, and enhance execution efficiency
- Prepare investment presentations and internal approval materials in English and Chinese for investment committees and external stakeholders such as banks, joint venture partners, and regulators
- Collaborate closely with legal, tax, and technical advisors within the deal environment to ensure alignment on financial assumptions and transaction timelines
What does a successful candidate look like?
- Investment banking experience in project finance, M&A, or infrastructure coverage, with hands-on experience analyzing financial returns for infrastructure assets such as IDC or other capital-intensive projects
- Demonstrated ability to build dynamic project finance models for infrastructure deals, including detailed cost-revenue structures and return metrics (IRR, NPV, DSCR)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling combined with practical experience using AI execution tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalents)
- A commercially intuitive and analytically sharp professional suited for a fast-paced, lean deal environment. The mindset required is that of an investor rather than solely an analyst
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Capacity to present complex financial logic clearly to senior management and external partners
