What You Will Do
The Manager - Data role is responsible for design and execution of data strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term vision. Managing a team of data specialists, both internal and external, the role will work closely with business stakeholders in various functions, to design and implement a modern data architecture, ensure robust data governance, oversee the development of advanced analytical capabilities, evaluate and implement best-in-class technologies, and foster a culture of innovation.
What You Will Do
- Collaboration on the development of a compelling data vision and strategy, to help support long-term business goals
- Development of a scalable, robust and secure data infrastructure, using industry best practice
- Lead the design, implementation and ongoing development of data analytics solutions
- Oversee the effective utilization, performance and deployment of data resources
- Lead and mentor a team of data specialists, coaching them to obtain high performance levels
- Serve as a primary SME on data and business intelligence for various business stakeholders
- Collaborate on the definition and implementation of data governance policies and procedures
- Collaborate with various teams to identify opportunities for where data can play a critical role
- Support the business in driving the adoption of advanced data techniques and emerging technologies
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, or a related discipline. Master’s or PhD degree is desirable
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a data-related role, with 5+ years of leadership experience
- Proven leadership in developing and implementing data strategies to drive organizational change.
Technical skills
- Deep technical experience in modern data platforms, cloud environments and data engineering best practice
- Extensive experience in the development of tools, frameworks, and approaches, for collecting and analyzing data for business intelligence and to support decision making processes
- Strong understanding of data governance and security protocols
Professional skills
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business narratives
- Must be a critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills
- Highly collaborative and able to build trusting relationships across a diverse, global workforce
