We are seeking a highly effective Manager to join our Governance, Risk & Compliance Team in our department dedicated to employment and employability!
In this role, you will support NTUC’s sub-department in upholding strong governance, ethical standards, and stewardship of public funds. Working closely with senior colleagues and management, the role contributes to grant‑related compliance, investigations, and risk matters, while developing judgement and capability through progressive exposure to senior management and Board‑level committees.
Grant Compliance & Post‑Audit Actions (SOGC)
- Support post‑audit follow‑up on Statement of Grant Claim (SOGC) matters, including monitoring report submissions, reviewing findings, and assisting with appropriate follow‑up actions.
- Assist with drafting correspondence to companies, such as advisories, warnings, or clawback letters, ensuring clarity, consistency, and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and tracking of cases and outcomes to support transparency and accountability.
Whistleblowing & Compliance Reviews
- Participate in whistleblowing and compliance reviews, including information gathering, analysis, and documentation, with guidance from senior team members.
- Contribute to the preparation of investigation summaries and reports, highlighting key facts and issues for consideration.
- Observe strict confidentiality and due process, and develop a sound understanding of investigation and fair‑treatment principles.
Governance Committees (ARC & MRC) Support
- Assist with the preparation of materials for Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) and Management Risk Committee (MRC) meetings.
- Support documentation of discussions, decisions, and action items, and help coordinate follow‑up with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain organised records of committee papers, minutes, and related documentation.
Compliance Monitoring, Risk & Process Improvement
- Contribute to compliance monitoring activities and updates to the organisation’s risk register.
- Assist in the preparation of GRC‑related reports for management.
- Identify process gaps or recurring issues and support improvements to internal controls and governance practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Relevant experience in areas such as compliance, grants administration, investigations support, risk management, or public‑sector governance is preferred.
- Interest in governance, compliance, investigations, and public‑fund stewardship, with willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organise and synthesise information.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- High integrity, discretion, and a professional approach to handling sensitive matters.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks in an organised manner.
Working Location: Jurong East, Devan Nair Institute
Designation and salary will be commensurate with experience.
