Title or Role: Manager of Electrical Engineering

Compensation: Up to $225K/yr. Plus Benefits and Equity, commensurate with experience

Location: Denver, CO Hybrid

Company Description: Our Client is an industrial-scale data center construction and operations company. They allocate data center opportunities between bitcoin mining and other high performance computing services, such as AI. They continue to develop there pipeline of power capacity at high-quality data center sites, either for bitcoin mining or HPC.

Position Description:

The Manager of Electrical Engineering for Hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure will lead and coordinate electrical design disciplines across fast-paced data center projects. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems by overseeing design reviews, resolving technical issues, and engaging with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in data center design and operations with a focus on enhancing construction, commissioning, and long-term performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all electrical engineering efforts including utility interconnections, power distribution, and backup power systems.
  • Coordinate electrical design phases and ensure alignment with other system designs.
  • Perform detailed reviews of electrical drawings and specifications, addressing design gaps and constructability issues.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings, contractor reviews, and vendor assessments.
  • Manage Engineers of Record and specialty consultants to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
  • Develop and refine electrical design standards and incorporate lessons learned from past projects.

Qualifications:

  • 12–18+ years of experience in electrical engineering and mission-critical power systems.
  • Extensive experience with data center design and operations.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and coordinating complex electrical systems and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution, protection and controls, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with high-performance computing, AI/ML, or crypto data centers is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to interface with utilities, contractors, and customers effectively.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and Professional Engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred.
