About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Ecommerce Operations to spearhead the establishment and growth of its U.S. business. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and leading the 24-month market entry plan, with a strong focus on the U.S. marketplace. This includes owning the U.S. P&L, setting the go-to-market strategy, and ensuring compliant, profitable growth. The role involves a wide range of tasks, from strategy and P&L ownership to supply chain, fulfillment, and customer service management. The Managing Director will also be tasked with building and leading a high-performing U.S. team, as well as establishing data and governance frameworks.
Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include steering inbound logistics, selecting and contracting 3PLs, and owning S&OP. The role also requires the development of Amazon playbooks, evaluation of additional marketplaces and retail partnerships, and the staging of DTC rollout. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in ecommerce operations, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making and risk controls. The role demands a leader who can anchor early traction on Amazon, build a seamless operational backbone, and ensure the U.S. business is on a path to positive P&L within 24 months.
