Position Overview The Managing Director – Entertainment & Lifestyle will lead AWC’s Attractions & Experiences portfolio, one of CCBO’s highest-growth strategic businesses. This portfolio includes world-class IP-licensed and proprietary attractions such as Jurassic World: The Experience, SkyFlyer, Better World Better Future, and future attractions under development. The role is responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, and guest experience across all attraction assets. This includes full P&L ownership, strategic partnerships with global IP licensors such as Universal Studios, and development of a scalable operating platform that supports long-term expansion. This position plays a critical role in transforming AWC’s attractions into destination-led ecosystems that generate repeat visitation, strengthen brand relevance, and create sustainable shareholder value. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic & Commercial Leadership - Develop and execute long-term business strategies for the Attractions portfolio in alignment with CCBO and AWC objectives. - Drive EBITDA growth through diversified revenue streams including ticketing, season passes, F&B, merchandise, OTA partnerships, corporate events, and sponsorships. - Maintain full P&L responsibility for all attractions and future assets. - Lead CAPEX planning, OPEX optimization, and ROI management, particularly for IP-licensed investments. - Translate strategic priorities into actionable business plans with measurable milestones. - Scale the portfolio through expansion, new attraction launches, and strategic partnerships. 2. IP Relationship & Brand Management - Manage relationships with global licensors, including Universal Studios and future IP partners. - Ensure compliance with brand standards, licensing requirements, and guest experience guidelines. - Strengthen market positioning and brand equity for both licensed and proprietary attractions. - Increase attendance, repeat visitation, dwell time, and Net Promoter Score (NPS). - Collaborate with Commercial and Property Marketing teams on integrated destination marketing. - Build partnerships with online travel agencies (OTAs), the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), airlines, hotels, and MICE operators. 3. Operational Excellence & Safety Governance - Oversee safe, compliant, and guest-centric operations across all attractions. - Establish and monitor KPIs including attendance, revenue per visitor, guest satisfaction, uptime, and safety performance. - Lead the opening and commissioning of new attractions from project handover to full commercial operation. - Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Operations, Sales & Marketing, Finance, HR, and Safety. - Improve operational efficiency while maintaining premium guest experiences. - Build robust SOPs and service standards across all venues. 4. People Leadership & Organizational Capability - Lead and inspire large, multidisciplinary teams, including permanent, seasonal, and outsourced staff. - Develop organizational capabilities in operations, guest service, and safety. - Foster a high-performance and high-engagement culture. - Build succession plans and leadership pipelines for key operational roles. Qualifications - Minimum 15 years of senior leadership experience with significant P&L accountability. - Proven success in theme parks, attractions, experiential entertainment, leisure destinations, or IP-driven businesses. - Strong track record in revenue growth, EBITDA improvement, and business scaling. - Experience managing large and diverse teams. - Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. - Strong financial, strategic, and operational leadership skills. - Excellent stakeholder management and partnership-building capabilities. - Fluent English required; Thai language skills are highly desirable. Preferred Industry Background Candidates with leadership experience in organizations such as Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Universal Destinations & Experiences, Merlin Entertainments, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, IMG Worlds of Adventure, Dubai Parks and Resorts, and other leading attractions and entertainment businesses will be highly regarded.
