Managing Director – Investment Banking
The Managing Director of Investment Banking is a senior leadership role responsible for originating, developing, and executing advisory and capital markets transactions while driving revenue growth and strengthening senior client relationships. This role leads deal origination, manages key client accounts, and oversees transaction execution across M&A, debt, equity, and related strategic advisory mandates.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new business opportunities through active market coverage, client pitching, and relationship development.
- Maintain and deepen relationships with corporates, sponsors, institutional investors, and other strategic stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end execution of transactions, including pitch development, structuring, negotiation, due diligence, and closing.
- Oversee and mentor junior bankers, including directors, vice presidents, associates, and analysts.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as credit, risk, legal, operations, and senior management to ensure deal success and compliance.
- Contribute to strategic planning, budget management, and profitability targets for the investment banking business.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of investment banking or relevant financial services experience.
- Strong track record of originating and executing M&A, capital raising, or strategic advisory transactions.
- Excellent client relationship, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep knowledge of financial markets, valuation, transaction structuring, and deal execution.
- Leadership experience managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred in many postings.
Pay: AED350.00 - AED500.00 per hour
