The Managing Director (MD) of Marine Business is responsiblefor the overall strategic leadership, operational excellence, financialperformance, and brand positioning of the yacht marina. This role overseesend-to-end marina operations, drives premium service standards forhigh-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clientele, and ensures strong alignmentwith joint venture partners and key stakeholders.

The MD will act as the principal executive authority for themarina, balancing commercial growth with world-class service delivery,regulatory compliance, and long-term asset value enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and implement the marina’s short-, medium-, and long-term business and operational strategies aligned with shareholder and joint venture objectives.
  • Define the marina’s value proposition as a premium lifestyle and yachting destination, ensuring differentiation in service quality, facilities, and customer experience.
  • Provide strong executive leadership to the management team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and customer-centricity.
  • Identify growth opportunities, including berth optimization, ancillary services, lifestyle offerings, partnerships, and new revenue streams.
  • Operational Management & Service Excellence
  • Oversee all day-to-day marina operations, including berthing management, marine services, facilities maintenance, safety, security, and customer services.
  • Ensure marina infrastructure, assets, and equipment are maintained to the highest international and regulatory standards.
  • Establish and enforce operational policies, SOPs, and service standards that reflect a luxury hospitality and yachting environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with maritime regulations, environmental standards, health and safety requirements, and local authority guidelines.
  • Market Positioning, Sales & Promotion
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing, branding, and sales strategies to attract new yacht owners, captains, brokers, and charter operators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with yacht owners, UHNW individuals, family offices, captains, brokers, yacht clubs, and luxury lifestyle partners.
  • Represent the marina at industry events, yacht shows, and strategic networking platforms to enhance visibility and brand prestige.
  • Oversee customer engagement initiatives to drive loyalty, retention, and long-term client relationships.
  • Financial Management & Performance
  • Assume full P&L responsibility for the marina, ensuring achievement of revenue targets, cost controls, and profitability objectives.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for shareholders and joint venture partners.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including berth occupancy, revenue per berth, operating margins, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Evaluate capital expenditure plans and asset investments to support long-term growth and value creation.
  • Joint Venture & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Act as the primary liaison with joint venture partners, shareholders, and board representatives.
  • Ensure alignment on strategic direction, financial objectives, operational execution, and governance standards.
  • Prepare and present regular performance updates, strategic proposals, and risk assessments to the board and partners.
