Job Description
As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, you will design and implement world-class manufacturing solutions that transition cutting-edge robotics products from concept to production at scale. You will drive quality excellence across global supply chains, ensuring our next-generation robotics systems meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Apply Design for X (DFX) principles to transition autonomous robotic solutions and mechatronic systems from design to production.
- Develop and qualify suppliers while managing product lifecycle changes across complex global supply chains.
- Lead cross-functional quality improvement projects and drive technical root cause analysis for supplier defects.
- Design and develop manufacturing test solutions for consumer electronics and robotics systems.
- Implement best-in-class manufacturing systems for scalability, focusing on gearbox assembly, stator winding, rotor manufacturing, and motor integration.
- Collaborate with design teams globally to influence product designs and ensure manufacturability at scale.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), or Design for X principles.
- Experience with manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining, sheet metal fabrication, or electronics assembly.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of quality systems and methodologies including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
- Understanding of statistical process control and capability analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with robotics, mechatronics, or electromechanical systems manufacturing.
- Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to mass production.
- Knowledge of test engineering principles and automated test equipment development.
- Experience with failure analysis techniques including FMEA, 8D, and root cause corrective action.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing systems.
- Strong project management skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
