Here, you will make an impact by: The person hired for the position of Manufacturing Engineer will have process and product responsibility for designated process manufacturing equipment and products. Driving operational excellence by leading projects that improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). This entails initiating and leading projects that result in continuous improvement of Product and Process Understanding (PPU). Identifying and implementing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) improvements throughout the department. Willingness to support 24/7 production operations. Leads projects and Kaizen events focused on improvement of process control plans to ensure assigned production equipment is operating at peak performance Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) Three (3) years of manufacturing experience within a production plant setting in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Demonstrated results driving projects/initiatives related to product quality improvement, unit cost modeling, and cost reduction projects Demonstrated results leading product improvement projects Experience leading or participating on cross functional teams, especially across multiple sites or divisions Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong communication skills both verbal and written, analytical and organizational skills to manage different priorities Work location: Work location: Menomonie – on-site Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international Relocation: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
