Job Summary
Gilani Mobility is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer – Designer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of automotive, mobility, and accessibility solutions. The role bridges engineering design and production by ensuring products are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering
- Design and modify mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications
- Support product development from concept through production and implementation
- Conduct design reviews and implement improvements for manufacturability and efficiency
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and modified designs
Manufacturing Support
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are optimized for fabrication and assembly
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
- Identify and resolve design-related production issues
- Support process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency
Analysis & Compliance
- Perform basic engineering calculations and design checks as required
- Support equipment testing and performance evaluations
- Ensure designs comply with ISO 9001 quality standards and relevant engineering codes
- Maintain proper engineering documentation and revision control
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Procurement teams
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in mechanical design and manufacturing engineering roles
- Proficiency in CAD software: SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, and assembly methods
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, automotive components, or mobility products is an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
- Experience with 3D printing or prototyping technologies is a plus
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Good command of Microsoft Office applications
