Job Description

  • *Job Summary**

We are a furniture design company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building and maintaining our standard SolidWorks models as well as producing custom drawings for new and modified product. This position requires a strong background in furniture materials and construction, along with proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software.

The position is intensive in CAD Drafting, generating lots of drawing resources for our customers and manufacturing partners The Project Engineer will work closely with project coordinators, director of operations, and suppliers to ensure successful and accurate project execution.

  • *Outcomes**
  • Standard Drawings library is systematically built and maintained for accuracy beginning 1 year after product launch
  • SolidWorks models are built for maximum efficiency for scalability/modification
  • ERP - Bill of Materials will be checked for accuracy (QTY, Materials, and Finishes, etc.) and updated/firmed accounting for all necessary materials from suppliers and inventory
  • All drawings are systematically double checked for accuracy and errors are corrected before sending to clients/vendors
  • All drawings are sent out with accurate information – matching specifications from the sales orders
  • Standard Drawings and Bill of Materials summary are reviewed and firmed within 24 hours of project handoff
  • Modified production drawings will be sent out for review within 48 hours of handoff
  • Custom production drawings will be sent out for review within 72 hours of handoff
  • Issues with standard drawings and/or standard product material configurations are escalated and resolved with coordination of the operations team
  • Solution Design team is supported with solutions for custom projects
  • Manages internal projects in collaboration with operations team
  • *Experience**
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, design, or engineering within the furniture industry.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of furniture construction and materials
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for effective problem-solving.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
