Design and own factory and production area layouts that support clear visual indicators and linear flow.
Conduct job walks with vendors, negotiate pricing, and manage vendor schedules.
Host process walks on production lines to identify simplification opportunities and launch changes.
Execute complex projects quickly and efficiently to minimize cost and time to the business.
Work hands-on on the factory floor and lead by example to drive rapid project completion.
Develop and implement system and process improvements across production teams.
Build tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and cost issues to support production decisions.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
1+ years of mechanical design or hands-on manufacturing experience; internships and project teams count.
Process engineering experience, including project management, capacity modeling, process mapping, and layouts (preferred).
Experience with inventory, production, and capacity planning, including MRP/ERP systems (preferred).
Experience as an industrial, operations, process, or manufacturing engineer in a developmental manufacturing environment (preferred).
Experience with industrial facilities such as HVAC, gases, electrical, and structural/foundations systems (preferred).
1+ years of experience using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for analysis or modeling dynamic systems (preferred).
Experience with lean, six sigma, and related production principles (preferred).
Ability to work across teams and skill sets to find simple and effective solutions.
Ability to stand for long durations, stoop and bend as needed, and travel or work long hours/weekends when necessary.
Must meet ITAR export-control eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Department of State.
Benefits:
Base salary range of $100,000-$115,000 for Level I and $110,000-$135,000 for Level II.
