About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Mechanical Electrical Assembler to support the assembly, servicing, and integration of next-generation robotic systems.
In this role, you will:
- Build electromechanical production units and subassemblies
- Follow released engineering documentation and work instructions
- Ensure consistent, high-quality hardware builds
- Support testing, integration, and production readiness

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (e.g., aerospace, automotive, construction, electrical service, or similar industries)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Basic English proficiency (read written instructions and communicate verbally)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving technical environment
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments and inclement weather if required
Physical Requirements
This role requires:
- Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and overhead work
- Use of stairs, steps, and vertical ladders
- Working on elevated platforms
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs
- Clear close and distance vision, color differentiation, depth perception, and focus capability
What You'll Do
Assembly & Build Execution
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical units according to released drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Perform repeatable production builds of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and integrated electro-mechanical systems
- Install and connect compute, control, power, and sensor systems following established procedures
- Produce subassemblies based on engineering prints, wiring diagrams, component lists, and direct technical instruction
Electrical Work
- Perform electrical wire terminations
- Cut, route, bundle, and secure wires to required specifications
- Connect wires between component leads, terminals, and contact points
- Execute proper cable management and routing practices
Testing & Quality
- Conduct functional tests, inspections, and basic calibration steps
- Identify defects, missing components, or out-of-spec conditions and escalate as needed
- Rework or repair units using approved documentation and processes
- Record build status, serial numbers, and production data accurately in tracking systems
Production Support
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and tools
- Support kitting, material handling, and inventory accuracy
- Assist with final assembly, factory integration, and shipment preparation
- Follow ESD, safety, and quality compliance requirements
- Provide feedback to improve documentation, tooling, and process clarity
Preferred Experience
- Experience building final production hardware on a manufacturing floor
- Experience producing electrical or electro-mechanical subassemblies from detailed prints
- Experience disassembling, modifying, refurbishing, and reassembling components
- Familiarity with integration of robotic, automotive, or automation systems
Work Environment
This is an on-site role in San Francisco requiring five days per week in person. Occasional field work may be required.
This is a hands-on production role within a fast-moving robotics environment focused on building reliable, scalable automation hardware.
