We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Manager with a strong background in data centre projects to lead the design and delivery of MEP systems across high-profile projects in the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design of data centre projects from concept through to delivery
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams (MEP, BIM, consultants)
- Ensure designs meet hyperscaler standards for reliability, efficiency, and scalability
- Review and approve design deliverables, calculations, and technical submissions
- Work closely with project, commercial, and procurement teams to ensure alignment
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet expectations
- Support construction teams in resolving design-related issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience in MEP design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience in data centre design (critical requirement)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems for mission-critical facilities
- Experience working with hyperscalers or Tier 1 data centre clients
- Proficiency in BIM and design tools
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
