Title: Mechanical Designer (Full-Time)

Location: Houston, TX (on-site)

Hourly Pay: $45-65/hr + OT ($100,000 - $150,000)

Requirements: Experience designing control panels, enclosures, cabinets, housings in Solidworks

(FULL TIME Position)

We are expanding rapidly, and we are looking for a Mechanical Designer who has experience with custom engineered enclosures, control cabinets, equipment housings, and skid mounted assemblies that protect and package electrical and automation systems. As our business continues to scale, we are investing heavily in design talent to drive innovation in enclosure design, improve manufacturability, and support complex customer projects involving power distribution equipment, VFD and control panel packaging, switchgear housings, and structural mounting solutions

What You Will Be Doing

• Proficient in creating 3D models and fabrication drawings for control panels, custom enclosures, cabinets, and housings in SolidWorks
• Design enclosures and housings for VFD drives, control panels, SCR lineups, MV switchgear, and LV switchgear
• Create detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and installation details using SolidWorks (and AUTOCAD for electrical and legacy files)
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs)

What You Need for this Position

• 4+ years designing designing industrial equipment enclosures, control panels, cabinets, and housings using SolidWorks
• Associate's Degree in Drafting Technology, CAD/Drafting, Mechanical Design Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks
• Background in power generation equipment, electrical equipment housings, or industrial machinery (preferred)
• Marine or mobile equipment design experience (advantageous)
• Experience with sheet metal design and enclosure layout
