Your Role

ATFI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with the following role and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the operations of various coating systems and related work
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment
  • Assist technical team with various engineering tasks including, but not limited to, AUTOCAD, 3D printing, mechanical pumps

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • BS/MS Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience designing mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling in CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor preferred)
  • Knowledge of automated process control equipment design, manufacturing and operation. Experience with new equipment installations
  • Working knowledge of machining processes and ability to interface with machining vendors
  • Expert knowledge in interpretation of product and manufacturing drawings and specifications that define coating requirements
  • Experience with resistance furnaces, infrared & induction heating, RF plasma generation
  • Working knowledge of materials technology, especially coatings and ceramic materials
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
