Your Role
ATFI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with the following role and responsibilities:
- Assist in the operations of various coating systems and related work
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment
- Assist technical team with various engineering tasks including, but not limited to, AUTOCAD, 3D printing, mechanical pumps
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- BS/MS Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience designing mechanical equipment, fixturing, and tooling in CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor preferred)
- Knowledge of automated process control equipment design, manufacturing and operation. Experience with new equipment installations
- Working knowledge of machining processes and ability to interface with machining vendors
- Expert knowledge in interpretation of product and manufacturing drawings and specifications that define coating requirements
- Experience with resistance furnaces, infrared & induction heating, RF plasma generation
- Working knowledge of materials technology, especially coatings and ceramic materials
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
