Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative product development team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and validation of mechanical systems and components for cutting-edge products. You will leverage your expertise in CAD software, finite element analysis (FEA), and engineering principles to develop robust and efficient designs. This role requires a strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and stress analysis. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to bring new products from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

Design mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to predict performance, identify potential failures, and optimize designs. Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs). Conduct design reviews and participate in peer reviews to ensure design integrity and manufacturability. Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are feasible for mass production. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues that arise during development or production. Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes. Develop and execute test plans for mechanical components and systems. Document design processes, calculations, and test results thoroughly. Stay current with industry trends, advancements in mechanical engineering, and relevant standards. Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis. Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA). Strong experience with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus). Solid understanding of engineering principles including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and solid mechanics. Experience with materials selection and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly. Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting. Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems is a plus. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to innovative projects remotely, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and collaborating with a talented team. Join us and drive mechanical innovation.
