Mechanical Designer

Location

The client will apply for the work visa and provide relocation if not local.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related discipline

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP (mandatory)

Experience with 3D CAD tools (Navisworks, SolidWorks or similar)

Certification in HVAC Design, Fire Protection Systems, or Plumbing Design (preferred)

Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, BS/EN, and UAE Municipality Design Codes

Experience & Skills

3-5 years' experience in mechanical drafting/design

Experience within luxury villas, private estates, hospitality or high-end fit-out projects

UAE or GCC project experience preferred

Strong HVAC, plumbing, firefighting and mechanical utilities design knowledge

Ability to prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings and detailed sections

Skilled in load calculations, duct sizing, pipe routing and layout optimization

Strong MEP coordination and clash detection capability

Ability to interpret architectural, structural and electrical drawings

Experience preparing BOQs, equipment schedules and technical specifications

Strong document control and revision management skills

Ability to liaise with engineers, consultants and contractors

High attention to detail with aesthetic sensitivity for luxury environments

Discretion and confidentiality in private estate environments

Roles and Responsibilities

Design and develop detailed mechanical layouts and systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, specialized systems)

Ensure integration of mechanical systems with architectural and interior design

Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings and construction documentation

Perform load calculations and optimize system layouts

Coordinate with architects, interior designers, engineers and MEP teams

Conduct clash detection and resolve technical design conflicts

Prepare BOQs, equipment schedules and technical documentation

Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards

Participate in design meetings and on-site inspections

Provide technical support during installation and commissioning

Maintain drawing logs, revision history and document control

Uphold confidentiality regarding estate infrastructure and family privacy

Salary

AED 4,000 - 8,000 per month - Depending on Experience
