Entry Level Mechanical Engineer, Full Time

Norian/Siani Engineering Inc., a building system and sustainable design, engineering consulting firm is looking for qualified entry-level mechanical engineering candidates. The firm specializes in environmentally sustainable system design and consulting and provides full service mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection design for a wide variety of public and private facility owners and architectural clients. Projects include commercial, institutional, industrial, multifamily and single-family residential design for new and existing buildings. We emphasize conceptual excellence and responsive communication that provides our clients with environmentally responsible and healthy places to live, work, learn, and play. NSE is a fast paced, friendly, educational and deadline driven environment.

The successful candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and EIT certificate is a plus. Candidate will be proficient with AutoCAD and will have a strong work ethic and desire to learn. Candidate must work well in a team environment but also be able to take the initiative, complete tasks and work on his/her own. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. The ability to read architectural plans and knowledge of construction are both a plus.

Major tasks will consist of:

• Engineering calculations and equipment selection
• Research and interpretation of multiple applicable codes and laws
• HVAC and plumbing system design
• Analysis and reporting of engineering and sustainable design options
• Drafting and preparation of engineering drawings
• Communication with Clients, Vendors and Contractors
