Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Canary Wharf – £47,500 + Package

Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer ready for your next challenge with a leading Facilities Maintenance provider?

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a Static Mechanical Engineer / Plumber to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across a prestigious high-end residential contract in the heart of Canary Wharf. Working as part of a close-knit team of five on site, you'll play a key role in keeping a flagship building running to the highest standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance plumber already working in a similar environment who is looking to take the next step in their career, with clear routes for progression and a competitive package of up to £47,500.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across domestic and commercial installations, including pressure systems, FCUs, pipework, radiators, valves, pumps and motors
  • Exchange domestic central heating components including radiators, cylinders, tanks and system controls
  • Perform power flushing of central heating systems
  • Service and maintain hot and cold water systems, calorifiers, boilers and cold water storage tanks
  • Carry out Legionella control and general plumbing services
  • Work confidently with Heat Interface Units (HIUs)
  • Pressure-test pipe systems and monitor gauges to identify leaks
  • Liaise professionally with residents and clients, providing updates and addressing concerns with a customer-first approach
  • Close down reactive works in line with site requirements and report any issues to the contract support desk
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, installations and compliance documentation

Hours of Work & Package

  • Basic salary up to £47,500
  • Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm / 10am – 7pm (rotating)
  • Call-out rota: 1 in 2
  • 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Tablet and work phone provided
  • Full company uniform

Essential Requirements

  • City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing (Essential)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Plumbing (Desirable)
  • Proven HIU experience
  • Background in high-end residential maintenance
  • Strong track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled, client-facing, with excellent communication
  • Able to pass a DBS check or hold a current DBS certificate
  • Able to provide copies of trade certificates
