Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analysis expertise in axial and radial turbine blades and vanes with or without internal cooling.
  • Knowledge of turbine cooling and durability.
  • Perform professional mechanical engineering assignments such as heat transfer and secondary cooling flow analyses.
  • Create, execute and calibrate 2D and 3D transient conduction-convection thermal models using NX thermal or equivalent software.
  • Create and execute 3D conjugate heat transfer models using StarCCM+ or equivalent software.
  • Advanced skills in using CAD software to generate and manipulate geometries for vanes and blade turbines components.
  • Communicate technical results to internal and external customers and stakeholders.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • MS or PhD Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficient in using StarCCM+, or other COTS thermal analysis tools.
  • Proficient in working with CAD models, using NX or other equivalent CAD software.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in gas turbine engineering analysis.
  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident required due to export-controlled technologies.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skill.
