About LondonEnergy
At LondonEnergy, we’re proud of our vital role in managing North London’s waste and protecting the environment. As part of the team, you’ll already know that we handle and process 750,000 tonnes of waste each year, making us the second largest waste contract in the UK.
Together, we generate enough energy from waste to power around 80,000 homes annually and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres. This is only possible thanks to the dedication of our people, who make a real difference every day.
About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join LondonEnergy in a pivotal leadership role at our Edmonton site in North London.
As Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will lead the Mechanical Maintenance Department, ensuring the delivery of practical, high‑quality engineering solutions across both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown activities. Your focus will be on maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant and associated equipment.
You will play a key role in the pre‑planning and execution of major boiler and turbine shutdowns, working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. During outage periods, you will closely monitor progress, adapting plans as required to address unforeseen maintenance and repair needs while minimising downtime.
In addition, you will be responsible for developing clear and accurate budget forecasts for all maintenance and engineering activities, ensuring work is delivered within agreed financial targets and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, essential industry environment.
