Mechanical / Piping Engineer (Data Center – EPC)

Houston, TX 77072 – Local Candidates Only (No Relocation)

Compensation: $90,000 – $135,000 base + 10% – 20% performance bonus (based on experience)

Position Summary

Seeking a Mechanical / Piping Engineer with 2–10 years EPC modular experience to support design, fabrication, and delivery of Hyperscale Data Center Modules. Strong piping stress analysis and mechanical equipment background required. Data Center experience is ideal.

Key Requirements

Education

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • PE License strongly preferred Not required

Experience

  • 2–10 years mechanical/piping design
  • EPC Modular Engineering Design required
  • Piping stress analysis, mechanical equipment, and modular construction experience
  • Data Center or similar critical infrastructure preferred

Must-Have Software

  • CAESAR II, NozzlePro, FEPipe
  • Microsoft Office 365 + PDF Editor

Codes & Standards

Strong knowledge of ASME (B31.3, Section VIII/IX), ANSI, NFPA, IBC, OSHA, and related standards.

Responsibilities

  • Check/approve drawings and designs for manufacturing
  • Perform piping stress/flexibility analysis and prepare deliverables (line lists, equipment lists, data sheets, MTOs, BOMs)
  • Prepare Technical Requisitions and review vendor quotes
  • Support design reviews, client meetings, and act as technical point of contact
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with codes and client specs
  • Select coatings, insulation, supports, and brackets

Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
